ABS is the oldest deal in 3D printing and we will not dress it up: real heat resistance and machinability at a hardware-store price, in exchange for a printer with an enclosure. CHCKX ABS ships in Black at $13.99, with a glass-fiber GF-ABS at $18.99 for stiffer parts, both part of the May 2026 engineering expansion.
This page is deliberately plain. ABS earns its place through what it survives: a hot garage, a drill press, a round of sanding and acetone smoothing. Mechanical figures come from the batch TDS, on request, because that is where they actually live.

USE-CASE GUIDANCE
ABS shrinks as it cools, and a draft mid-print becomes a split layer. Use an enclosure, keep the chamber warm, and let big parts cool inside the machine. If that sentence rules out your printer, PCTG on an open bed is the nearest neighbor.
See PCTGThis is why ABS survives every new chemistry: it machines like a plastic stock. Drill it, tap it, sand it, vapor-smooth it to a molded finish. For fixtures that get modified on the bench for years, ABS is still the default answer.
See Engineering CF/GFThe glass-fiber variant trades a rougher surface for noticeably stiffer parts and less warp. Pick it for flat brackets, clamps, and anything long that must not flex. Note the hardened-nozzle habit: glass fiber eats brass.

Small parts, sometimes, with luck and a draft-free room. We would rather say no. If your machine is open, PETG or PCTG covers most of the same jobs without the fight.

ABS reinforced with glass fiber, sold in Black at $18.99. Stiffer and more dimensionally stable than plain ABS, with a matte technical surface. It wants a hardened nozzle.
If you have an enclosure and want to machine or smooth the part afterward, ABS. If you print on an open bed or the part takes sharp impacts, PCTG. That single question sorts nearly every cart.
